Can't see the chart?

It may be that the iXv Viewer in which the chart should appear fails to load, or that the iXv Viewer loads but the chart is incomplete. Alternatively, the iXv Viewer and chart may appear correctly, but an error occurs when you attempt to communicate with the server - perhaps when you search for information, or expand an entity. If any of these apply to you, check the following...

Are you using a personal firewall?

If you have a personal firewall such as Zone Alarm installed on your computer, then the iXv Viewer may not respond when you click the Search button.

To make the iXv Viewer work with personal firewalls, you must allow ads. For example, to do this for Zone Alarm, open the Privacy page and set Ad Blocking to Off.

Do you have Java Runtime Environment or Java Virtual Machine installed?

The iXv Viewer requires Sun Microsystem's Java Runtime Environment (JRE)—or alternatively Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (JVM), if you are using Internet Explorer—to be installed on your computer.

To find out whether you have the JRE or the JVM installed, and to download and install one if you have not, click on the link representing the browser you are using below.
